A photo I like

This photo is one of the most especial ones I have, it represents the maximum contact with nature I have ever had. It was taken the last summer in the Natural Reserve Altos de Lircay (5 hours from Santiago) in the middle of the Andes at 2300 metres above sea level.

Even though it seems like a big empty space, too many things happen here. A lot of uncommon animals live among the rocks; lizards, insects and the majestic condor of the Andes.

I love this photo because it reminds me the silence of the mountain and because it was taken at the end of a two-week hitchhiking adventure through the south and center of Chile. That trip involved a lot of hours walking and travelling along the roads, so we could get to some of the most beautiful places in our country and this is just a sample of one of them.

I always look at this photo while I'm working so I fill with the energy of the mountain and get eager to go back to the road and discover new places like this. Actually, it is the same feelling that people express when they see this picture, they would love to be there, breathing the cleanest air on earth.

I´ll be waiting for your comments... don't be rude hahahahaha.

  1. Yeah, it's a great feeling when you get to the top, isn't it Boris? I went to Lircay about 10 years ago, but we didn't get so far up as you on that occasion. However, I did do a three-day trek in Cerro Castillo in the 11th region in February with a friend who came out from England to visit me. It was pretty tough, but very satisfying.
A couple of things to watch out for in your writing: so many / too many; (remember "too many" has a negative connotation, because it suggests a problem); You should use passive in the last paragraph - "I am filled with the energy..."
Thanks for the post. Keep writing.
